Summary Plan Description Retirement With Service Earned With The Johnstown Bakers And Teamsters' Unions Pension Agreement Effective January 1, 1993, the Johnstown Bakers and Teamsters' Unions Pension Agreement (Johnstown Plan) merged into the Western Pennsylvania Plan. The calculation of benefits for service earned with the Johnstown Plan prior to January 1, 1993 is based upon the provisions of the Johnstown Plan in effect when that service terminated; the calculation of benefits for service earned with the Western Pennsylvania Plan on or after January 1, 1993 is based upon the provisions of the Western Pennsylvania Plan in effect when that service terminated. Calculation Of Benefits Based On Service Earned Prior To January 1, 1993 The Normal Retirement Benefit, based on service earned prior to January 1, 1993, is calculated based on the amount of Credited Service multiplied by the Unit Benefit, as of the date of termination, in accordance with the following:
The Unit Benefit in the above chart will be lower if the weekly contribution rate made on the Participant's behalf was less than the highest weekly contribution rate (the basis for the chart) made to the Johnstown Plan. Calculation Of Benefits Based On Service Earned On And After January 1, 1993 The calculation of benefits based on service earned on and after January 1, 1993 is based upon the provisions of the Western Pennsylvania Plan, as of the date of termination, and as described in this Booklet.
